How to split a PDF
- 1Open your PDF in the editor.
- 2In the sidebar, click the pages you want. Ctrl-click to add one, Shift-click to take a range.
- 3Choose Split out selected pages from the File menu.
- 4Save the new file. The original stays untouched.

Page thumbnails are right there in the sidebar, so you select by looking rather than by typing page numbers and hoping.

Splitting writes a new file. Your source PDF stays exactly as it was, on your own disk.

Common questions
Can I take pages that are not next to each other?
Yes. Ctrl-click each page you want — they do not have to be a range.
Can I cut one file into many at once?
Yes. The sidebar right-click menu has Split into several files, which writes one file per selected page.
Does splitting lose quality?
No. The pages are copied as they are, not re-rendered.
