A contract page being edited: a line half-typed, an image just dropped in and selected, a highlighted line, and a ktpdf.com watermark running across the page.
Privacy
Your file stays on your machine
KTPDF has no server to send files to. It runs in your browser, or in the app on your computer.
Nothing is uploaded
Opening, editing and saving all happen on your own machine. Open your browser’s Network tab while you work and you will see nothing goes out.
No account needed
No sign-up, no email, no daily limit. Open the page and get on with it.
Works without internet
The app never needs a connection. The web version only needs the first load, then you can go offline.
Nothing to delete later
Your file never left your computer, so there is no copy sitting on a server somewhere.
Standout features
The six worth mentioning first.
Your file never leaves your machine
Every other online PDF tool makes you upload the file to their servers: your contract, your records, your payroll sitting on a machine you do not control. KTPDF does the work on your own machine, browser build included.
Edit the existing text, not a patch over it
Click a line in the file and retype it, keeping the original font and size. Most other tools drop a fresh text box on top — select the text and the old words are still underneath.
Watermark the whole document
Text or an image across every page: "DRAFT", a company name, your own stamp. Pick the opacity and the angle, tile it or place a single mark, and put it under the text or on top of it.
Finds Vietnamese typed without accents
Type "hop dong" and it finds "hợp đồng". Results come with the surrounding sentence, so you can tell at a glance whether it is the right spot. Foreign software finds nothing without the diacritics.
Offline, in the app or the browser
The desktop app never needs a connection. The browser build only needs the first load — after that you can pull the plug and keep editing, because nothing has to be sent anywhere.
No account, no limits, no queue
No sign-up, no cap on files per day, no size limit, no waiting your turn — because no server is paying to process your file.
How it works
Three steps, the same in the app and in the browser.
- 1
Open a file
Drag a PDF onto the window, or pick one from your computer.
- 2
Make changes
Edit text, annotate, reorder pages, merge or split. Ctrl+Z undoes anything.
- 3
Save
The app saves over the original. So does Chrome and Edge; other browsers download the new file.
Two ways to use it
Same engine underneath. Take whichever suits you.
Desktop app
For everyday use, or when the file is big.
- Handles files of several hundred pages
- Saves over the original file
- Double-click a PDF to open it
- Remembers recent files and where you stopped
- No internet needed
In the browser
For a quick job, or on a computer that is not yours.
- Nothing to install
- Does everything the app does
- Your file still stays on the machine
- Saves over the original in Chrome and Edge
- Safari and Firefox download the new file
A PDF editor that does not upload your files
KTPDF is a free online PDF editor for macOS, Windows and the browser. Add text, images and watermarks to a PDF, or retype the text already in it. Merge PDF files into one, split a PDF into several, rotate pages, delete pages, reorder them, search the contents, then print or save.
Unlike most online PDF tools, KTPDF does not ask you to upload anything. Those services process your file on their servers, which means your contract or your records have been copied to a machine you do not control. KTPDF runs in your browser or in the app on your own computer.
That also means no account, no daily limit, no file size cap and no queue.
