Delete pages from a PDF
Remove the pages you do not want and save a clean copy. Nothing is uploaded, and Ctrl+Z brings a page back if you change your mind.
How to delete pages from a PDF
- 1Open your PDF in the editor.
- 2In the sidebar, select the pages to remove. Ctrl-click for individual pages, Shift-click for a range.
- 3Press Ctrl+Backspace, or choose Delete pages from the Pages menu.
- 4Save. Use Save as if you want to keep the original as it was.
Why delete pages here
You can undo
Deleting a page is one step in the undo history, not a decision you are stuck with. Ctrl+Z puts it back where it was.
The pages are really gone
The saved file does not carry the removed pages along in some hidden form — they are not written out at all.
Nothing is uploaded
The document you are trimming often contains exactly what you do not want on someone else’s server. It never leaves your computer.
Common questions
Can I get a deleted page back?
Yes, with Ctrl+Z, as long as you have not saved and closed the file.
Can I delete several pages at once?
Yes. Select them all in the sidebar first — Ctrl-click or Shift-click — then delete.
Does the original file change?
Only if you use Save. Choose Save as to write a new file and leave the original alone.
